When we describe a standing desk as "stable and durable", "quiet in motion", or "safe and reliable", these words sound appealing, but how do they actually perform in real use?
In February 2026, alongside the launch of the Vernal Core3 standing desk, Vernal released the Core3 Test Report, publicly sharing data and details from real laboratory testing. Through this report, Vernal aims to give users a clear understanding of what kind of desk they are truly bringing into their workspace.
You deserve to know the real quality of the desk you take home.
In this article, we highlight the 1.1 Load and Lifting Capacity Test from the Vernal Core3 Test Report, taking you inside Vernal’s testing laboratory to show how a series of rigorous tests are used to verify every detail of the desk’s stability.
Overview
The 160 kg (353 lbs) load capacity is established through comprehensive system-level validation rather than a single test case. Under full-load conditions, the Core3 desk must meet design standards for operational noise levels, lifting speed, full-load lifting endurance, electrical current limits, and control box thermal stability. The 160 kg (353 lbs) rating is certified as a verified load and lifting capacity only when the complete system operates stably across these metrics.

Comprehensive Test Results

Core Test
Include Test 1.1.1
Test Objective
To simulate concentrated load scenarios encountered during daily use, such as pressure applied to the desk edge (e.g., by elbows). The test verifies the structural rigidity and elastic recovery of the desktop by analyzing the average of multiple test results. This ensures that frequent, localized loading does not result in significant deflection or permanent deformation, thereby validating stability, comfort, and durability for long-term use.
Test Method
- The desk was adjusted to a height of 950 mm (37.4 in).
- As shown in the figure below, a vertical force of 800 N (180 lbf) was applied to the desktop.
- The deformation under load, designated as X1 (average of multiple trials), was measured.
- The force was removed to allow for elastic recovery.
- The residual deformation, designated as X2 (average of multiple trials), was measured.
